Non-Fiction Connection

Tell me

Non-Fiction Connection covers American non-fiction titles only.
NFC is a valuable Reader Development tool, enabling you and patrons to search for similar books to those you have already enjoyed. Simply type in a book title, and then click 'find similar'.
For more refined searches also use the left handside green menu.
From the right hand-side of the screen there is the opportunity to refine your results.
In the detailed title screen you can view a summary, reviews and awards.
The word cloud on the left of the screen shows related terms to the original search term.

Non-Fiction Connection has a similar interface to Fiction Connection enabling you to browse by
1. topic
2. genre
3 .setting
4. character
5. location
6. timeframe.

The database features titles with storylines, drama and characters.
To obtain a full listing under each tab click, 'click here' to view all topics under the banner.

Some popular genres include historical, political, travel, humour, sports, true crime and more.

The database is updated weekly and includes forthcoming titles. It retains titles from 2005 onwards, including popular and well known older titles, and out of print titles.
Unlike Fiction Connection, NFC does not include children and YA titles.

Also available through Fiction and Non-Fiction Connection is Complete Connection combining the two databases and can be accessed at the top of the screen.
