Fiction Connection

Tell Me

Fiction Connection is a database covering American fiction titles, biographies, autobiographies and memoirs. The database is updated monthly.

Titles go back to 1997. Older titles by popular authors, classics and titles have been retained, including out of print titles. Source - popular review journals, publishers catalogues, authors websites and newspaper reviews.

This is a handy Reader Development tool, giving the librarian and patron the opportunity to search for a list of books by topic, genre, character, setting, timeframe or location, or a specific title, author or ISBN. To obtain a full listing under each tab, click, 'click here to view all topics' .

Find similar authors for books that you enjoyed. Simply type in the book title, then click 'find similar.' For more refined searches also use the left handside green menu.

From the right hand side of the screen there is the opportunity to refine your results.
For example, Reading Level – Adult, Young Adult or Children, Awards if any, or if on Bestrseller lists.

In the detailed title screen you can view a summary, reviews, and awards.
The word cloud on the left of screen shows related terms to the original search term.
